GROW--A Consortium of Weed Scientists and Specialists

In today’s world of problematic herbicide-resistant (HR) weeds, producers need access to information from people who are constantly working to deal with/manage these weeds. A new source of such information is GROW, an acronym for “Getting Rid of Weeds” Through Integrated Weed Management (IWM). According to the website Home Page, GROW is “a publicly-led network coordinating research and outreach, providing science-based information and decision support tools to make agriculture more sustainable and precise. We work to develop integrated weed management solutions that are practical and adoptable.”

Their website contains a complete body of knowledge about the management of HR weeds. By clicking the following icons, you can find information about all aspects of the GROW program.

GROW: Home page with definition of IWM, Weed Management Toolbox, IWM News, and a list of problematic HR weeds.

About: GROW mission and GROW team makeup.

What is IWM?: Definition and components of IWM, ABC’s of IWM.

Herbicide Resistance: A complete body of knowledge on this subject.

Weed Management Toolbox: Weed ID Guide and management tactics (cultural, chemical, mechanical, biological, agronomic) that can be used against HR weeds.

News: Recent blog articles (written by GROW team members) that deal with aspects of HR weed management.

I have perused the pages of this website, and believe it is the most complete body of knowledge that is available on HR weeds. The information on the pages, plus links to other pertinent resources dealing with HR weeds, make this a go-to site worthy of bookmarking. Also, I am assuming that this site will be kept up-to-date with information pertaining to any and all issues dealing with HR weeds. That will make it an even more authoritative source for all matters dealing with HR weeds. Thus, I encourage producers to bookmark this site and check it often for HR weed management updates.
