Fall Deep Tillage of Tunica and Sharkey Clay Soils: Residual Effects on Soybean Yield and Net Return

Deep tillage has been shown to be a practical method for increasing water intake rates in clay soils. This publication presents the results of two long-term studies conducted on nonirrigated Tunica and Sharkey clay soils to determine the annual and residual effects of fall deep tillage on yield and net return from MG IV soybean grown in the early soybean planting system in the Mississippi River alluvial flood plain.
